Christian was born in San Francisco in 1989. From there his family moved to Guam where they lived for 2 years. They then moved back to California where Christian stayed until 2007. That is when he moved to Oregon to attend Oregon State University, majoring in Biology.
After years of studying biology, Christian decided that pursuing a career in food was what he really wanted to do. He loved the way a meal could bring together anyone, from anywhere, no matter how old or even the language they spoke.
In September of 2014, after working in a few Portland restaurants, Christian started at Ecliptic as a line cook. Christian is now one of our Sous Chef’s and a great part of the team. When he isn’t at work he enjoys playing basketball, backpacking, riding his bike, and slack-lining. He also likes to eat Mexican food and drink tequila, preferably outdoors.
